Can You Drop 14 Pounds in a Week on the Negative Calorie Diet Plan?

Negative Calorie Diet Plan

There’s a lot of hype about the Negative Calorie Diet Plan. Ever since the Negative Calorie Diet book first came out more than a decade ago, claiming that you can lose up to 14 pounds in a week with certain negative calorie recipes (including even a negative calorie diet soup), it received a lot of bad rap.

After all, eating only foods from a specific negative calorie food list seems to be counter everything we know about eating enough calories to avoid triggering the starvation mechanism, food cravings and sharp hunger pangs. Plus, losing 14 pounds in a week is MUCH more than most fad diets claim.

But I was struggling with more than 20 pounds for some time, sitting at the computer 8 hours a day munching high fat snacks or sweets all day, so I said, "What the heck, let’s give it a try".

At first, I hesitated to order the e-book online, but because you’re assured you get your money back if you don’t achieve the promised result, I bought the Negative Calorie Diet Plan e-book mainly for the negative calorie recipes and the hypnosis bonuses (although I haven’t had much hope to be able to stay on it).

You must admit, the theory behind the Negative Calorie Diet Plan is very tempting - but I was wondering if it would work for real. The diet claims to work primarily based on the idea that your body burns more calories to metabolize certain high-fiber negative calorie foods than it gets from these foods.

As a result, your body enters a "negative caloric balance" and burns stored fat to meet your daily energetic needs. The Negative Calorie Diet Plan is low-fat, low-protein, highly alkaline diet.

So, in order to avoid losing muscle mass I stuck to do my body weight workout routine and stopped the diet after the 7th day - just as the free negative calorie diet tips suggest.

I wanted to make sure I won't be hungry, so I was eating every 2 or 3 hours - either the soup, or a great diversity of colorful mixed salads that I’d prepared each morning in separate plastic containers, with the special dressings on the side.

I’d had my 4 half liter bottles water too, plus a couple of green tea cups each day.

I have to admit, I’ve only lost 10 pounds on the Negative Calorie Diet Plan, but I cheated with some broiled chicken breast a couple of times ;)

In reality, this is a more strict raw food weight loss diet.

The Negative Calorie Diet Plan is not for everybody. If you’re a meat lover, you might miss your meat. Also, you will get hungry if you don’t eat every 2-3 hours or so. Then, you will have a hard time getting filled with just a salad.

How to Prepare for Negative Calorie Diet Plan

You might want to buy and prepare ahead the foods you need for a whole week at a time. Here’s the list of negative calorie foods allowed.

Cut and seal them up, toss them in the fridge, and make sure you don’t come home from work in the evening without having a whole bunch of these foods readily available.

It doesn’t really matter how much you actually eat on this diet. Make sure you eat whenever you feel hungry - preferably a little before - and eat until you feel satisfied, but not stuffed. The easiest is to eat every 2 or 3 hours.

Obviously, while on this diet you can’t have any alcohol, sugar, honey, or sugar replacements (except stevia). Also, you shouldn’t use any of the commercial dressings, as they all contain sugar and lots of fat.

Here are 2 delicious dressing tips for your salads and steamed vegetables:

  1. Mix extra virgin, cold-pressed olive oil, apple cider vinegar in equal parts, and add your favorite spicing herbs: oregano, thyme, basil, celery seed, ginger, cilantro - either dried, or fresh.

  2. For a mouth-watering vegetable dip mix 2 tablespoons of mustard in a 500 grams container of low fat yogurt, and spice it up with herbs and chilli pepper.

Check these four free negative calorie diet tips first and decide whether you’d like to give it a try for no more than seven days to see for yourself. In my experience, the Negative Calorie Diet Plan works if you follow it.
