Two Yummy Fat-Burning Recipes for Flat Abs

First, let me say this.

All calories are not created equal - you want to make sure that you are eating foods that will help your body burn your abdominal fat, instead of keep it on.

Second, healthy meals that help you burn more bod fat don't have to taste bland. You simply have to be creative, and I'll help you here.

Plus, this recipes are not 'diet recipes' - you can enjoy them with the whole family - perhaps they have a few pounds to lose too?

Enough talk. Let's cook something delicious!

1. Turkey Meatloaf with Eggs

~ Makes 10 slices ~

Turkey Meatloaf With Eggs

  • 1.5 lb. ground turkey meat (lean)
  • 3 hardboiled eggs (free range)
  • 1/2 packet of buttermilk hidden valley mix
  • 4 cups spinach, chopped
  • 2 bunches green onion, chopped
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 handful chopped almonds
  • 1 tablespoon organic ketchup
  • sea salt and ground pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter to grease the baking pan

~ Prep Time: 15 minutes ~

1. Chop the green onion, almonds and parsley while boiling the eggs.

2. Mix thoroughly all ingredients in a bowl - except the ketchup and hardboiled eggs.

3. Place half of the mix in a lightly buttered baking pan and pat down, place the peeled, hardboiled eggs one after another, and then place the other half of the mix patting it well on the sides and on top of the eggs. Make sure the eggs are completely covered.

4. Spread the ketchup on top.

5. Place in pre-heated oven at 375 for 20-25 min. The last few minutes switch to broil so the top gets a nice, golden brown. Let it cool in the baking dish then slice it in 1-inch slices.

6. Serve cold with Dijon mustard and optionally with stemed veggies or a salad made with fresh greens with a spoon of olive oil and lemon juice (no dressings, as most contain sugars and bad fats).

For a delicious fat-burning lunch on the go, enjoy 1-2 slices with a few crunchy leaves of romaine hearts or 4-5 red radishes or ½ raw red pepper.

This recipe is high in quality protein so you'll jump start your metabolic rate. Your body starts to burn more fat preserving the lean muscle mass. Also, you get the perfect carb/good fat ratio to curb your appetite and follow the belly fat diet guidelines >>

2. Butter-Seared Salmon Salad

~ Makes 2 servings ~

  • 2 wild salmon fillets (or Ahi), with skin
  • 1 tablespoon butter for searing
  • 1/8 teaspoon cracked peeper
  • 5-Spice (look in your foodmarket's spice isle)
  • Seared Salmon With Greens

  • 3 cups mesclun (mixed) greens
  • 1 raw endive
  • 6 raw walnuts, cracked
  • 1 small red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 lemon wedges
  • 1 pinch of sea salt, to taste

~ Prep Time: 15 minutes ~

1. Wash and strain the greens using a salad spinner. Pull off any wilted leaves from the endive, then slice it. Mix in a bowl the greens, sliced endive, cracked walnuts and the thinly-cut onion with olive oil, vinegar and salt.

2. Place butter in a heavy-bottomed pan and heat over high heat for 1 minute (do not let it become brown).

3. Wash and pat dry salmon fillets, then coat them on both sides with 5-spice and cracked pepper and sear on each side (skinned side first) on medium-high heat until fillets turn opaque (2-3 minutes on each side).

4. Serve warm with the salad mix and lemon wedges.
